Description

This 30-Minute Ground Beef Stroganoff is a quick, creamy, and comforting dish. Tender ground beef is combined with a rich, creamy sauce and served over egg noodles for a hearty weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 6 ounces Egg Noodles
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 cup Sour Cream


Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to boil and cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 6–8 minutes. Drain excess fat and transfer beef to a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and whisk continuously for 2 minutes to create a roux.
  4. Gradually pour in beef broth, whisking constantly until the sauce thickens, about 3–4 minutes.
  5. Slowly whisk in milk and cook until the sauce thickens again, about 5–7 minutes.
  6. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly combined.
  7. Reduce heat to low and add cooked noodles and browned ground beef. Stir until well combined and heated through.
  8. Gently stir in sour cream until fully incorporated.
  9. Serve hot, optionally with vegetables or garlic toast.
