Banana Bread Brownies are a moist, banana-infused dessert with rich chocolate flavor. Perfect for a snack, dessert, or indulgent treat for banana and chocolate lovers.
Ingredients
- 2 medium-sized ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
- Mash bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Add granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter to the bananas; mix well.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually fold dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined.
- If using, fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
- Cool 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra banana flavor, add more mashed bananas and reduce butter slightly.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container up to 3 days at room temperature or up to a week in the fridge.
