Description
A refreshingly sweet and energizing iced black tea infused with matcha and brown sugar. Optional milk makes it creamy and indulgent, perfect for a hot day!
Ingredients
- 2 cups brewed black tea (cooled)
- 2 tsp matcha powder
- 2-3 tbsp brown sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup milk or plant-based milk (optional)
- Ice cubes, as needed
- Optional garnish: sprinkle of matcha powder, brown sugar drizzle
Instructions
- Brew 2 cups of black tea and allow it to cool. Refrigerate for faster cooling.
- Whisk matcha powder with 1-2 tbsp hot water until smooth and frothy.
- Add brown sugar to the brewed tea while slightly warm and stir until dissolved.
- Pour matcha into sweetened tea, add milk if desired, and stir gently. Fill glasses with ice and pour tea mixture over.
- Garnish with matcha powder and brown sugar drizzle if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For richer flavor, lightly caramelize brown sugar before adding to tea.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
- Use chilled tea for faster serving.
