Description
Cheeseburger pockets with savory ground beef, onions, cheese, and classic condiments wrapped in flaky dough – perfect for a quick lunch or snack.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard (yellow or Dijon)
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can crescent roll dough (or pizza/biscuit dough)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Add onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until beef is no longer pink and onions are soft. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in ketchup and mustard, then remove from heat and mix in shredded cheese.
- Roll out dough and cut into 8 rectangles or rounds.
- Spoon 2 tablespoons of filling onto each piece. Fold and seal edges with a fork.
- Place on baking sheet and brush with beaten egg.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm for best flavor and texture.
- Optional: add pickles, jalapeños, or extra ketchup/mustard inside pockets.
