  • 1 lb chicken sausage, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets

  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1½ cups orzo pasta
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken sausage and cook until lightly browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté onion until softened. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  3. Add orzo and toast for 1 minute, stirring frequently.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Stir in broccoli florets, cover, and cook for 10–12 minutes until orzo is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  6. Return sausage to the skillet and cook 2–3 minutes until heated through.
  7. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese.
