Description

Fudge brownie balls coated in chocolate and crushed candy canes for a festive treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 box standard brownie mix (including required ingredients as per package directions)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate frosting
  • 8 oz Ghirardelli melting chocolate
  • 1 cup crushed candy canes, divided


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a 9×13 inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Prepare brownie batter according to package instructions and pour evenly into the prepared pan.
  2. Bake brownies for 25 to 30 minutes until set. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
  3. Crumble cooled brownies into a large bowl. Add chocolate frosting and mix thoroughly until a thick, dough-like consistency forms. Fold in 1/4 cup of crushed candy canes.
  4. Portion dough using a cookie scoop and roll into balls. Arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Melt Ghirardelli chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  6. Dip each brownie ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring full coverage. Place coated balls back onto the parchment-lined sheet.
  7. Immediately sprinkle remaining crushed candy canes over wet chocolate coating. Allow to set completely before serving or storing.

  • For easier melting, chop chocolate into small pieces before microwaving and stir continuously to avoid burning.
