Description

A festive and vibrant holiday dessert featuring a delightful combination of white cake and colorful Jello layers, topped with Cool Whip and sprinkles.


Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix plus ingredients
  • 3 oz box lime Jello
  • 3 oz box cherry Jello
  • 8 oz Cool Whip, thawed
  • Red and green sprinkles


Instructions

  1. Prepare white cake according to package directions, ensuring all ingredients are properly measured.
  2. Pour cake batter into greased 9×13 pan, spreading evenly.
  3. Bake cake following package instructions until toothpick comes clean.
  4. Allow cake to cool approximately 20 minutes until just warm to touch.
  5. Create evenly spaced holes throughout cake surface using straw or wooden spoon handle.
  6. Prepare lime Jello with 1 cup boiling water and 1/2 cup cold water; stir until dissolved.
  7. Prepare cherry Jello using same modified water measurements.
  8. Carefully pour green Jello over one half of cake, filling holes.
  9. Pour red Jello over remaining cake half, filling holes completely.
  10. Refrigerate minimum 6 hours or overnight to set Jello.
  11. Spread thawed Cool Whip evenly across surface.
  12. Decorate with red and green sprinkles.
  13. Return to fridge until serving. Cut into squares, wiping knife between cuts.
