Ingredients
- 1 box white cake mix plus ingredients
- 3 oz box lime Jello
- 3 oz box cherry Jello
- 8 oz Cool Whip, thawed
- Red and green sprinkles
Instructions
- Prepare white cake according to package directions, ensuring all ingredients are properly measured.
- Pour cake batter into greased 9×13 pan, spreading evenly.
- Bake cake following package instructions until toothpick comes clean.
- Allow cake to cool approximately 20 minutes until just warm to touch.
- Create evenly spaced holes throughout cake surface using straw or wooden spoon handle.
- Prepare lime Jello with 1 cup boiling water and 1/2 cup cold water; stir until dissolved.
- Prepare cherry Jello using same modified water measurements.
- Carefully pour green Jello over one half of cake, filling holes.
- Pour red Jello over remaining cake half, filling holes completely.
- Refrigerate minimum 6 hours or overnight to set Jello.
- Spread thawed Cool Whip evenly across surface.
- Decorate with red and green sprinkles.
- Return to fridge until serving. Cut into squares, wiping knife between cuts.
