Ingredients
- Waffle Batter
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Cinnamon Swirl
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- Cream Cheese Drizzle
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer instructions.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Pour into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the cinnamon swirl. Transfer to a piping bag or zip-top bag with a corner cut.
- Grease waffle iron lightly. Pour 1/2 cup batter into center, then pipe a spiral of cinnamon mixture. Close and cook 3–4 minutes until golden. Repeat for all waffles.
- For cream cheese drizzle: Beat cream cheese until smooth, add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until pourable.
- Serve waffles warm with cream cheese drizzle on top.
