Description

Delicious spaghetti with shrimp in a creamy, cheesy sauce. Perfect for a quick, indulgent weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes (if using); sauté 30 seconds.
  3. Add shrimp; cook 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to low. Add cream cheese and stir until smooth. Gradually whisk in heavy cream, then Parmesan. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add cooked spaghetti to the sauce and toss. If too thick, add reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
  6. Return shrimp to the skillet; toss gently. Serve garnished with parsley.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently over low heat, adding a splash of milk or cream to prevent dryness.
  • Serve with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
  • Optional: add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving for extra flavor.
