Description

Crispy, golden apple fries coated in a cinnamon-sugar breadcrumb mixture and air-fried to perfection. Serve with caramel sauce or vanilla yogurt for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 2 large apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or preferred variety)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (or regular breadcrumbs)
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • Cooking spray
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (optional for dipping)
  • 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt (optional for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice apples into 1/2-inch wedges. Remove cores and seeds. Mix 1 tsp cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl and set aside.
  2. Set up breading station: flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, panko mixed with remaining cinnamon-sugar in a third.
  3. Dredge apple slices in flour, dip in eggs, then coat in breadcrumb mixture. Repeat for all slices.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes. Arrange apple slices in a single layer and lightly spray with cooking spray.
  5. Air fry 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon-sugar and serve immediately with caramel sauce or vanilla yogurt.

Notes

  • Use firm, tart apples like Granny Smith for structure. Sweeter apples like Fuji or Gala for softer fries.
  • Best enjoyed fresh from the air fryer. Reheat briefly if needed.
  • Optional dips: chocolate sauce or whipped cream.
