Description
Crock Pot Angel Chicken is a creamy, comforting chicken dish served with angel hair pasta. Perfect for busy days, it’s rich, flavorful, and easy to make.
Ingredients
- 1–2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 2 large breasts)
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup (low or no sodium optional)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¾ cup chicken broth (low or no sodium optional)
- 1 (0.7 oz) packet Good Seasons Dry Italian Salad Dressing Mix
- 16 oz angel hair pasta
- Chopped parsley, cracked pepper, and/or grated Parmesan (optional)
Instructions
- Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add vegetable oil and swirl to coat.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Sear chicken 2–3 minutes per side until golden. Remove from heat.
- In a crock pot, combine cream cheese, butter, cream of chicken soup, garlic, chicken broth, and Italian dressing mix. Stir until smooth.
- Add seared chicken to crock pot. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours until chicken is cooked through.
- Cook angel hair pasta according to package instructions. Drain.
- Serve chicken over angel hair pasta. Garnish with parsley, cracked pepper, or Parmesan if desired.
Notes
- Use low-sodium ingredients for a lighter version.
- Chicken can also be shredded after cooking for a creamy pasta bake.
