Description

A classic slow cooker pork and sauerkraut recipe, flavored with applesauce and brown sugar. Perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 2-3 lbs whole pork tenderloin
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup applesauce
  • 32 oz Frank’s Kraut or SnowFloss Kraut, undrained
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 4 Tbsp butter, melted


Instructions

  1. Place pork loin in crock pot. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
  2. Place applesauce on top of pork. Pour sauerkraut and juice on top.
  3. Evenly sprinkle brown sugar over sauerkraut.
  4. Drizzle melted butter on top.
  5. Cook on low for about 8 hours or until pork reaches 160°F internal temp.
  6. Stir the sauerkraut around before serving.

Notes

  • You can use diced apples instead of applesauce if preferred.
  • Adjust brown sugar to taste for a sweeter flavor.
