Description

Easy Big Mac Sloppy Joes are a fun, messy twist on the fast-food classic. Juicy seasoned beef, melty cheese, crisp lettuce, and a creamy special sauce all piled onto toasted buns—comfort food perfection.

Ingredients

  • For the sloppy joe meat:
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • For the special sauce:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp French dressing
  • 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • For serving:
  • 4 sesame seed hamburger buns
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • Dill pickle slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the special sauce: In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, French dressing, pickle relish, vinegar, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth. Refrigerate.
  2. Cook the beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook 2–3 minutes until soft. Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  3. Make it sloppy: Drain excess grease if needed. Stir in ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Toast the buns: Lightly toast hamburger buns until warm and slightly crisp.
  5. Assemble: Place cheese on the bottom bun, top with sloppy joe mixture, lettuce, pickles if using, and drizzle with special sauce. Add top bun.
  6. Serve: Serve hot and enjoy the delicious mess.

Notes

  • For extra Big Mac flavor, add chopped pickles directly into the meat.
  • Swap American cheese for cheddar if desired.
  • Serve with fries, chips, or a simple salad.
