Description

Easy Chicken Noodle Casserole is a simple and comforting dinner loaded with tender chicken, creamy sauce, melted cheese, and hearty egg noodles.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz egg noodles, cooked and drained
  • 3 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots, thawed
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup crushed butter crackers or breadcrumbs (optional)
  • Melted butter, as needed


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Whisk soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Stir in chicken, peas and carrots, and 1 cup cheddar cheese.
  4. Fold in cooked egg noodles until evenly coated.
  5. Spread mixture into prepared baking dish.
  6. Top with remaining cheese and optional buttered crackers.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes
