Description
Easy Chocolate Chip Banana Bread is moist, fluffy, and loaded with melty chocolate chips. Perfect for breakfast, snack, or dessert.
Ingredients
- 4 overripe bananas
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5-inch metal loaf pan.
- Mash bananas in a small bowl.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars with a hand mixer for 2–3 minutes until fluffy.
- Add eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla; mix well.
- Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into wet ingredients; fold in until just combined.
- Fold in 3/4 cup chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared pan and sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake 50–60 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool at least 20 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Store at room temperature covered or in airtight container up to 4 days; freeze up to 3 months.
- Chocolate chips can be omitted or replaced with walnuts if desired.
