Description

Easy Chocolate Chip Banana Bread is moist, fluffy, and loaded with melty chocolate chips. Perfect for breakfast, snack, or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 4 overripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5-inch metal loaf pan.
  2. Mash bananas in a small bowl.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars with a hand mixer for 2–3 minutes until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla; mix well.
  5. Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into wet ingredients; fold in until just combined.
  6. Fold in 3/4 cup chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared pan and sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.
  7. Bake 50–60 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool at least 20 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Store at room temperature covered or in airtight container up to 4 days; freeze up to 3 months.
  • Chocolate chips can be omitted or replaced with walnuts if desired.
