Description

These Easy French Dip Sliders are buttery, cheesy, and packed with savory roast beef and caramelized onions. Perfect for parties, game day, or a cozy family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 sweet rolls
  • 10 slices provolone cheese
  • 14 ounces sliced deli roast beef
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons dried onion soup mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 3 cups water
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and add onions. Cook 12–15 minutes until soft and browned.
  2. Stir in thyme, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice rolls horizontally and place bottoms in an 11×7 baking dish.
  4. Top rolls with half of the cheese, roast beef, onions, remaining cheese, and roll tops.
  5. In a small bowl, combine melted butter and onion soup mix. Brush over tops of rolls.
  6. Cover loosely with foil and bake 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5 minutes until golden.
  7. Prepare au jus according to package directions with water.
  8. Serve sliders with parsley garnish and au jus for dipping.
