Description
Greek Chicken Tenders are tender, juicy chicken strips marinated in a zesty Greek yogurt and herb mixture. Perfect for grilling or baking, served with salads, pita wraps, or as an appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs chicken tenders or sliced chicken breast
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons lemon zest
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: ½ teaspoon ground cumin
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Add chicken tenders, coat well, cover, and refrigerate 30 min to 2 hours.
- Preheat grill pan over medium heat or oven to 400°F (200°C). Remove chicken from marinade and discard excess.
- Grill chicken 5–7 minutes per side until cooked through or bake 20–25 minutes on parchment-lined tray.
- Allow to rest briefly, garnish with parsley or dill, and serve.
Notes
- Marinate longer for more flavor.
- Can be served in salads, wraps, or with dipping sauces.
- Optional cumin adds extra Mediterranean depth.
