These Heart Shaped Chocolate Chip Cookies are perfect for Valentine’s Day! No chill time required, so they’re easy to make in under 30 minutes and come out soft, buttery, and loaded with chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1½ cups semisweet chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (1–2 minutes). Mix in eggs and vanilla until just combined.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients and mix until no flour streaks remain. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough onto baking sheet, spacing 2–3 inches apart.
  6. Bake 9–11 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers slightly underdone.
  7. Immediately cut cookies into heart shapes using a cookie cutter. Cool 5–7 minutes, then transfer to rack to cool completely.
