Description

Juicy honey garlic butter chicken served over creamy homemade mac and cheese for the ultimate high-protein comfort dinner.

Ingredients

  • For the chicken:
  • 2 large chicken breasts (about 1 lb), cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • For the mac & cheese:
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni or pasta of choice
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley, drizzle of honey

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add chicken pieces, season with paprika, salt, and pepper, and cook until golden and fully cooked through (about 6–8 minutes).
  4. Stir in honey and soy sauce. Toss the chicken in the sauce and cook another 1–2 minutes until coated and slightly sticky. Remove from heat.
  5. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and add milk. Stir in cheddar and mozzarella cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Season cheese sauce with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then add cooked macaroni and mix until creamy.
  7. Serve mac and cheese topped with honey garlic chicken. Garnish with parsley or a drizzle of honey if desired.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for a faster version.
  • Add steamed broccoli or peas to the mac and cheese for extra nutrition.
  • Adjust honey amount if you prefer a less sweet sauce.
