Description
These Hot Chocolate Cookies are soft, cozy, and packed with hot cocoa flavor, marshmallow bits, and chocolate chips — like a warm mug of hot chocolate in cookie form!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup instant hot cocoa mix (about 3 packets)
- 3 tablespoons baking cocoa
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup vanilla marshmallow bits
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, 5–7 minutes.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa mix, baking cocoa, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture.
- Fold in marshmallow bits and chocolate chips.
- Drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
- Bake 10–12 minutes or until set.
- Cool on wire racks completely.
Notes
- Be careful not to overbake to keep the cookies soft and chewy.
