Description
These Lobster Tartlets are perfect bite-sized appetizers for a cocktail party or family dinner. Topped with chives or green onions, they are colorful, flavorful, and easy to make. —Lorraine Caland, Shuniah, Ontario
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked lobster meat, chopped, or 1 can (6-1/2 ounces) flaked lobster meat, drained
- 1/3 cup finely chopped sweet red pepper
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped green onion (white portion only)
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- Dash seafood seasoning
- 2 packages (1.9 ounces each) frozen miniature phyllo tart shells
- Paprika, optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, combine cheddar cheese, provolone cheese, lobster meat, red pepper, green onion, mayonnaise, and seafood seasoning.
- Spoon mixture into tart shells and place filled shells on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake 12–15 minutes, until shells are lightly browned and filling is heated through.
- If desired, sprinkle with paprika before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh lobster for best flavor, but canned lobster works well too.
- Top with chives or green onions for added color.
- Mini phyllo tart shells can be found in the frozen section of most grocery stores.
