Description
A delicious, gooey, and easy one-pan cheeseburger pie with ground beef, cheesy egg filling, and a biscuit or pie crust. Perfect for a family dinner!
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups biscuit or pie dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)
- Optional toppings: pickles, mustard, ketchup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Add diced tomatoes and cook 2–3 minutes until heated through.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
- Place biscuit or pie dough in an oven-safe skillet, pressing up the sides.
- Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese over the crust.
- Pour beef and tomato mixture over the cheese.
- Top with remaining cheddar cheese.
- Pour egg and milk mixture evenly over everything.
- Bake for ~30 minutes until crust is golden and egg is set.
- Cool slightly before slicing and serve.
Notes
- Optional toppings like pickles, ketchup, and mustard add extra flavor.
- Use a skillet that is oven-safe to avoid transferring to another dish.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 2–3 days.
