Ingredients

  • 2 cups pancake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for greasing the baking dish)
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 2 cups fresh fruit (for serving)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish with butter.
  2. Cook breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through (5–7 minutes).
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine pancake mix, milk, and eggs; stir until just combined.
  4. Fold half of the cooked sausage and half of the maple syrup into the pancake batter.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the greased dish, layer remaining sausage, then pour remaining pancake batter on top.
  6. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until golden brown. Cool 5–10 minutes before serving.
