Ingredients
- 2 cups pancake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 2 tablespoons butter (for greasing the baking dish)
- ½ cup maple syrup
- 2 cups fresh fruit (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish with butter.
- Cook breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through (5–7 minutes).
- In a mixing bowl, combine pancake mix, milk, and eggs; stir until just combined.
- Fold half of the cooked sausage and half of the maple syrup into the pancake batter.
- Pour half of the batter into the greased dish, layer remaining sausage, then pour remaining pancake batter on top.
- Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until golden brown. Cool 5–10 minutes before serving.
Notes
