Description
A delicious twist on classic lasagna, featuring layers of ground beef, crispy bacon, and a creamy Parmesan garlic béchamel sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup crispy cooked beef, crumbled
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella
- 1 cup shredded cheddar
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan (for topping)
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned. Add onion and cook until soft. Stir in garlic.
- Add marinara, crumbled beef, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes.
- Melt butter in a saucepan. Whisk in flour and cook briefly. Slowly add milk and cook until thick.
- Stir in Parmesan and garlic powder. Season and remove from heat.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread meat sauce in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer noodles, béchamel, mozzarella, and cheddar. Repeat layers and finish with cheese.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan. Cover and bake 30 minutes.
- Uncover and bake 15 more minutes until bubbly and golden. Rest 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms if desired.
- Can be assembled ahead and baked later.
