Description

Philly Cheesesteak Pasta is a creamy, cheesy, and savory pasta dish featuring tender beef, sautéed peppers and onions, and provolone cheese baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or steak strips
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 12 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni recommended)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the vegetables: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add bell pepper, onion, and garlic; cook 4–5 minutes until softened.
  3. Cook the meat: Add ground beef or steak strips. Cook until fully browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Combine ingredients: Stir in cream cheese and beef broth. Cook, stirring constantly, until smooth and creamy.
  5. Top with cheese and broil: Add cooked pasta and toss with sauce. Sprinkle provolone cheese on top. Broil 3–5 minutes until melted and golden.
  6. Serve hot immediately.

Notes

  • Use penne or rigatoni to hold the creamy sauce better.
  • For extra flavor, sauté vegetables slightly longer for caramelization.
  • Optional: add red pepper flakes for a touch of heat.
