Description
Santa’s favorite cookies — soft and chewy double chocolate pudding cookies studded with chocolate chips and festive red & green M&Ms. The instant pudding mix keeps them extra tender and perfect for the holidays.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 small box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix (dry)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup red and green M&M candies
Instructions
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar for 1–2 minutes until fluffy. Add vanilla and egg; mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, dry instant vanilla pudding mix, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until incorporated. Stir in most of the chocolate chips and M&Ms, reserving some for topping.
- Cover dough and chill for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease or line a baking sheet.
- Roll about 3 tablespoons of dough into balls (golf-ball size) and place on prepared sheet. Press reserved chips and M&Ms on top so they show after baking.
- Bake 9–12 minutes, until cookies are set but still slightly underdone in the center.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for at least 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature up to 5 days.
- Dough can be chilled longer or frozen for future baking.
