Description

Sausage French Toast Roll-Ups are a quick, savory-sweet breakfast featuring sausage wrapped in soft French toast. Perfect with maple syrup or as-is.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices bread (white or whole wheat)
  • 8 breakfast sausage links
  • 4 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for cooking)
  • Maple syrup, for serving
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)


Instructions

  1. Cook breakfast sausages according to package instructions; set aside.
  2. Remove crusts from bread slices and flatten with rolling pin.
  3. Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
  4. Place a sausage at one end of each flattened bread slice; roll up tightly.
  5. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Dip each roll-up in egg mixture.
  6. Cook roll-ups until golden brown on all sides, 3–4 minutes per side. Remove toothpicks if used.
  7. Serve warm with maple syrup and optional powdered sugar.
