Sausage French Toast Roll-Ups are a quick, savory-sweet breakfast featuring sausage wrapped in soft French toast. Perfect with maple syrup or as-is.
Ingredients
- 8 slices bread (white or whole wheat)
- 8 breakfast sausage links
- 4 large eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter (for cooking)
- Maple syrup, for serving
- Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)
Instructions
- Cook breakfast sausages according to package instructions; set aside.
- Remove crusts from bread slices and flatten with rolling pin.
- Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
- Place a sausage at one end of each flattened bread slice; roll up tightly.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Dip each roll-up in egg mixture.
- Cook roll-ups until golden brown on all sides, 3–4 minutes per side. Remove toothpicks if used.
- Serve warm with maple syrup and optional powdered sugar.
