Description

A hearty and comforting Sloppy Joe Potato Skillet made with seasoned ground beef, crispy potatoes, and melted cheddar cheese—all in one pan.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 4 medium-sized potatoes, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Dice the potatoes, onion, and bell pepper and set aside.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  3. Add diced potatoes, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown and tender, about 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Push potatoes to one side of the skillet. Add onions and bell peppers to the other side and sauté for 2–3 minutes until softened.
  5. Add ground beef (or turkey) and cook until browned, breaking it apart. Stir in garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and tomato sauce.
  6. Mix everything together and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, cover, and cook until melted.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey for a lighter version.
  • Add a pinch of chili flakes for a spicy kick.
