Slow Cooker Pork And Sauerkraut – easy to make comfort meal, perfect for your holiday table or to cook on a snowy winter day.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb pork butt (shoulder)
- 1 1/2 lb sauerkraut
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp paprika
- 2 bay leaves
Instructions
- Season the pork with salt and pepper. Sauerkraut is salty, so adjust salt as needed.
- Chop the cabbage to your preferred size.
- Add half of the sauerkraut to the slow cooker. Place pork on top, then add remaining sauerkraut. Sprinkle paprika and add bay leaves. Drizzle with oil if desired.
- Cook on high for 6 hours or low for 8 hours.
