Description

Slow Cooker Pork And Sauerkraut – easy to make comfort meal, perfect for your holiday table or to cook on a snowy winter day.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb pork butt (shoulder)
  • 1 1/2 lb sauerkraut
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 2 bay leaves


Instructions

  1. Season the pork with salt and pepper. Sauerkraut is salty, so adjust salt as needed.
  2. Chop the cabbage to your preferred size.
  3. Add half of the sauerkraut to the slow cooker. Place pork on top, then add remaining sauerkraut. Sprinkle paprika and add bay leaves. Drizzle with oil if desired.
  4. Cook on high for 6 hours or low for 8 hours.
