Description

Big Mac smashburger tacos with extra-smashed beef patties, melty American cheese, and homemade Big Mac sauce on warm flour tortillas.

Ingredients

  • Smashburger Patties:
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for juicy burgers)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • Big Mac Sauce:
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp white pepper (optional)
  • Assembly:
  • 4 medium flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1/4 cup finely diced white onion
  • Dill pickle slices
  • Optional: sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Make the Big Mac Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, mustard, vinegar, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Refrigerate at least 20 minutes.
  2. Prep the Tortillas: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook each tortilla 1-2 minutes per side until lightly charred and puffed. Set aside.
  3. Cook the Smashburgers: Divide beef into 4 balls (~4 oz each). Heat skillet or griddle over medium-high. Place beef ball and press down firmly (¼ inch thick). Sprinkle with salt & pepper. Cook 2 minutes, flip, top with cheese, cook 1-2 more minutes until crispy and melted.
  4. Assemble Tacos: Spread Big Mac sauce on tortillas. Add lettuce, diced onion, pickle slices, and smashburger patty. Fold taco or wrap style.
  5. Serve warm with extra sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper when smashing patties to prevent sticking.
  • Optional: sprinkle sesame seeds on top for presentation.
