Description
A delicious and easy-to-make Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake that combines sushi rice and baked salmon with a creamy, spicy mayo topping.
Ingredients
- 2 cups sushi rice, uncooked
- 2½ cups water
- ¼ cup rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skinless and diced
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp Sriracha sauce (or to taste)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- ½ cup green onions, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
- 1 sheet nori, cut into small strips
- Tobiko, optional for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook sushi rice according to package instructions and let cool slightly.
- Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved. Fold into cooked rice.
- Spread rice evenly in a baking dish.
- Mix salmon, mayonnaise, Sriracha, sesame oil, and green onions.
- Spread salmon mixture over rice.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until salmon is cooked and lightly golden.
- Garnish with green onions, nori, and tobiko. Serve warm.
Notes
- Adjust Sriracha to control spice level.
- Serve with seaweed snacks or cucumber slices.
