Ingredients

  • 8 ounces egg noodles or rice noodles
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch. Add beef and toss to coat. Marinate for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add beef in a single layer and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, sauté garlic and ginger for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Pour in beef broth and return beef to the skillet. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens.
