Description

Ready in just 30 minutes, these Vanilla Pecan Pralines are a melt-in-your-mouth Southern treat—rich, creamy, and packed with toasty pecans. Perfect for gifting, parties, or a quick homemade indulgence.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups pecans, toasted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, heavy cream, butter, and salt.
  3. Stir constantly over medium heat until the sugars dissolve and the mixture comes to a boil.
  4. Let boil for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and pecans.
  6. Continue stirring for about 2 minutes until the mixture loses shine and thickens.
  7. Drop spoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet, forming round pralines.
  8. Let cool and harden at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use toasted pecans for deeper flavor and added crunch.
  • Stir continuously while cooling to prevent sugar crystallization and ensure smooth texture.
