Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup ice
- 2 cups cold water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 250°F.
- Place the eggs in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook the eggs for 16 minutes.
- While the eggs cook, fill a bowl with ice and cold water.
- Transfer the cooked eggs to the ice bath and let them cool for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Peel the eggs once cooled.
- Slice in half if desired and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and parsley to serve.
Notes
- Place eggs in a single layer in the air fryer basket – do not stack them for even cooking.
- Every air fryer is different – start with 250°F for 15-17 minutes and adjust to your preference.
- For softer boiled eggs with runny yolks, cook for 10-12 minutes.
- The ice bath is essential – it stops the cooking process and makes peeling easier.
- Older eggs peel more easily than fresh eggs.
- To peel, gently tap the egg on a hard surface and roll to crack the shell, then peel under cold running water.
- Store unpeeled hard boiled eggs in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
- Air fryer hard boiled eggs have a slightly different texture than stovetop – some find them creamier!
