Description

Air Fryer Hard Boiled Eggs – a quick, hands-off way to make perfectly cooked hard boiled eggs every time! The air fryer produces eggs with firm whites and creamy, never-overcooked yolks. This easy method is perfect for meal prep, healthy snacks, breakfast, deviled eggs, and egg salad. No more watching a pot of boiling water!

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup ice
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 250°F.
  2. Place the eggs in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  3. Cook the eggs for 16 minutes.
  4. While the eggs cook, fill a bowl with ice and cold water.
  5. Transfer the cooked eggs to the ice bath and let them cool for 5 to 10 minutes.
  6. Peel the eggs once cooled.
  7. Slice in half if desired and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and parsley to serve.

Notes

  • Place eggs in a single layer in the air fryer basket – do not stack them for even cooking.
  • Every air fryer is different – start with 250°F for 15-17 minutes and adjust to your preference.
  • For softer boiled eggs with runny yolks, cook for 10-12 minutes.
  • The ice bath is essential – it stops the cooking process and makes peeling easier.
  • Older eggs peel more easily than fresh eggs.
  • To peel, gently tap the egg on a hard surface and roll to crack the shell, then peel under cold running water.
  • Store unpeeled hard boiled eggs in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
  • Air fryer hard boiled eggs have a slightly different texture than stovetop – some find them creamier!
