Description
Crispy air fryer chicken tenders coated in seasoned cornflakes and drizzled with a sweet and spicy hot honey sauce for the perfect crunchy bite.
Ingredients
- 2 large chicken breasts, sliced into strips
- 1 egg + splash of water
- 2 cups crushed cornflakes
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Cooking spray
- Hot Honey Sauce:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3–4 tbsp hot sauce
Instructions
- Crush cornflakes and mix with seasonings.
- Whisk egg with water in a separate bowl.
- Dip chicken in egg, then coat with cornflake mixture.
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
- Place tenders in basket, spray lightly with oil.
- Air fry 8–10 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Meanwhile, melt butter and mix with honey and hot sauce.
- Drizzle hot honey over cooked chicken and serve.
Notes
- Cook in batches for best crispiness.
- Oven option: bake at 400°F for 20–23 minutes.
- Use store-bought hot honey if preferred.
