Ingredients (Serves 3–4)
For the Chicken
- 2 large chicken breasts (about 1 lb), cut into bite-size pieces
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Mac & Cheese
- 8 oz elbow macaroni (or any pasta)
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp butter
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional Garnish
- Chopped parsley
- Extra drizzle of honey
Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Make the Honey Garlic Chicken
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the chicken pieces and season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
3️⃣ Add the Honey Garlic Sauce
Stir in the honey and soy sauce. Toss the chicken so every piece gets coated in the sauce.
Cook for 1–2 minutes until the sauce becomes slightly sticky and glossy. Remove from heat.
4️⃣ Prepare the Mac & Cheese
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and pour in the milk.
Add the cheddar and mozzarella cheese, stirring until fully melted and smooth.
Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Add the cooked pasta and stir until the noodles are coated in the creamy cheese sauce.
5️⃣ Serve
Spoon the creamy mac and cheese onto plates or bowls. Top with the honey garlic chicken.
Garnish with chopped parsley and an optional drizzle of honey for extra sweetness.
Serve warm and enjoy.
Tips for the Best Dish
Use freshly shredded cheese
Pre-shredded cheese contains anti-caking agents and won’t melt as smoothly.
Make the sauce thicker
If you want a thicker honey garlic glaze, let it simmer an extra minute in the pan.
Add vegetables
Broccoli, peas, or spinach mix well into the mac & cheese for a more balanced meal.
Extra protein boost
You can add grilled chicken pieces directly into the mac and cheese as well.
